    Pedestrian boats, motor boats and paddle boats are operated at the Ooty Boat House for the convenience of tourists. Tourists visiting the boat house can take a boat ride from 9 am to 6pm. During the boat ride, tourists can admire the lush dense trees, the moose in the deer park, and the nesting ducks that sit and relax in the trees along the lake shore.

    In addition, the Tourism Development Corporation operates a mini train, Dora – Dora, and hotels at the boat house for tourists. To impress the boys and girls, a children’s park has been set up on the lake. The honeymoon boat house on the other side of the lake also has facilities including a children’s park. There are also horses on the private side, which can be used for horse riding.

     Tourists on boat rides are advised to wear safety armor. Also during boat rides, photography on the boat is prohibited. It is noteworthy that during the month of May every year, boat races are held on behalf of the state government to attract tourists.
